Campaign Against Domestic Violence: Awareness Rally Organized in Singlav Village

In a strong step towards eliminating domestic violence, Ashadeep Human Development Centre, Vidyanagar, through its Legal Guidance and Assistance Center in Borsad, organized a Domestic Violence Awareness Rally on February 7, 2025, in Singlav village. The rally aimed to educate and sensitize the community about domestic violence, its impact, and the legal rights available to victims.

The event saw active participation from students and teachers of Singlav School, students from Anand Institute of Social Work, and Ashadeep staff. Holding banners and raising slogans like:🗣️ "Down with Domestic Violence!"🗣️ "Stop Domestic Violence Now!"🗣️ "A Safe Woman Means a Safe Nation!"🗣️ "Long Live Women Empowerment!"

The rally marched through various parts of the village, catching the attention of local residents. The participants enthusiastically engaged with the public, encouraging open conversations about the issue and emphasizing the importance of taking a stand against domestic violence.

Community Engagement Through Street Play

To make the message more impactful, the rally concluded in the Singlav Primary and Secondary School playground, where a thought-provoking street play was performed. The play depicted real-life scenarios of domestic violence, highlighting the struggles faced by victims and the legal support available to them. The performance left a strong impression on the audience, making them reflect on the urgent need to address and prevent domestic violence within their own communities.
